Criticisms against Secretary Simeon Datumanong:

This is counterproductive and is exactly the mindset or attitude that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo would with us to transcend. Let us give Secretary Datumanong a chance to buckle down to work and prove himself instead of criticizing him before he has even started.

Government of National Unity:

With the idea of government of national unity is attractive, the details and implementation thereof must be thought out very carefully. All of its aspects must be anchored on moral and constitutional grounds. The emphasis should not be on personalities or parties that will participate in the government of national unity but on the actual points or on programs for cooperation. Otherwise, we will forever be at "square one."

Let us not pre-empt the President. If she needs to make a policy statement, she will do so at anytime. It does not have to be tomorrow.
